I have a comment about the following phrase:
"I believe it is nothing but an absurdity campaign based on false information and non-realistic approach".
This campaign was launched after the car dealers held a meeting and announced that Saudi Arabia was not affected by the global financial crises which meant that the car prices are not affected and added that there will be a 15% increase in prices due to the accessories and improvements added to the 2009 models.
This announcement angered the intellectuals who saw these remarks as un-respecting and degrading to other citizens and sparked the nationwide campaign "LET IT RUST".
The campaign is not intended to force dealers to reduce prices, at least not to the level of 50 or 60% , instead, the campaign aims for a reasonable price reduction along with improvement of after sale services and spare parts prices and most importantly; regaining the lost respect and dignity of the customers.
I think above reasons are not absurd and are more than enough to justify the united attitude of normal citizens.
